Since 2006, Triwomen has been a volunteer organization that has mentored and supported hundreds of women on their way to completing their first triathlon.

This year, Triwomen became a part of the Central Jersey Tri Club, to bring our mission together with this USAT certified organization. CJTC is a social multisport athletics club (swimming, biking and running) made up of members from a wide diversity of backgrounds, fitness abilities, experiences and personal athletic goals.

The primary goal of the club is to bring together individuals who share a common interest in general fitness, health and well-being in a group setting to enjoy the benefits of multisport athletics in a fun, social and rewarding environment.

Emily Sherrard’s Bio:
Emily found her way to the sport of triathlon from running. Having been a competitive runner through college, she felt a void in her athletic life upon starting medical school, thus she began competing in triathlons. What started as an outlet quickly became a passion and Emily found much success at the age group level, winning the 2013 70.3 World Championship and finishing on the podium at the 2014 Ironman World Championship, in just her first Iron-distance race. Her achievements in the sport inspired her to move up to the professional level to compete against the best in the world. Having completed medical school, she is deferring her training as a physician for a brief period of time to compete as a professional in triathlon. Emily says that medicine is not a job, but a calling, and her future finish line will be with her patients. But, for now she is choosing to pursue her passion for competing at the highest level in triathlon.
