First place in Division III at the Inaugural Ironman 70.3 Princeton on Sunday Sept 21st.
Great showing and execution by our club athletes, volunteers and friends and family.
Congratulations to our club Vice President Tovah who completed her first Ironman at Ironman Florida Panama City! Well done! You deserve it!
Congrats to Bill who finished his first Ironman at Louisville with plenty of time to spare! Way to go! Great effort and well deserved!
Congratulations to our new and repeat Ironman finishers that competed in the Lake Placid Ironman on July 28th. What an amazing accomplishment and weekend it was for everyone.
We must not forget our Ironman Friends and Family who supported all the athletes who compete in these events. They all work very hard to cook meals, transport us to and from the race, cheers us on and wait around for hours on end for us to finish. Thank you to everyone who supports us. You all deserve a Ironman Support Crew medal!
It was a busy weekend of racing for many club members. Congratulations to Ian for his finish at the Black Bear Sprint on Sunday; Danielle, Kim and Karin who raced in the Red Bank Triathlon also on Sunday as well as Zach who competed in the Jersey Man Aqua-Bike on Saturday.
However, we owe a big congratulations to Dennis who took 3rd place in his Age Group at the Jersey Man Duathlon on Saturday. Congrats Dennis!
Way To Go Everyone!
Congrats to our six CJTC race finishers in the 2012 Pocono Ironman 70.3 and for returning safe and sound. It was a very cool and chilly morning at the T1 transition before the swim although it did warm up later on in the bike segment for more comfortable racing temperatures. Biking in to T2 the sun was out in full force but still while very mild air temperatures which made for a very pleasant run with cool fall breezes. Excellent conditions for a half marathon.
Our finishers: Heather, Dave, Bill, Bruno, Tom and Darren all finished strong and in typical CJTC style. It was great to see all the racers this weekend over a nice meal and over good conversation (about what?? Triathlons of course).
Also a special congrats to Bob, who completed his 7th Sprint at Dottie’s House End Of Season tri this year and who is consistently and age group placer. Bob is one of the hardest charging age groupers in the sprint distance that I know. Congrats Bob, and keep up the fantastic race finishes.
Congratulations to our CJTC racers who competed in the first ever Six Flags Triathlon yesterday with Donna, John and Lora racing in the relay, Ilene Goodman in the Sprint and finally Gappy and David racing in the Olympic. Additional congratulations goes to David who also placed Third in the Clydesdale division and who is also competing in the Pocono Ironman 70.3 this next weekend. Awesome!!! Great way to train for your next race.
Congrats to Scott McSorely, Elizabeth Burton, and Jo Thorogood on placing in their age group and Dave Perna who came in 2nd Overall in the clydesdale division at the Buckman Triathlon!
We don’t see it very often and many will say once in a blue moon. However, we can honestly say, across the board and at all levels, everyone from the race participants to the aid station volunteers to the fans cheering and encouraging everyone that this was an absolutely amazing weekend.
The New York Ironman was an amazing event. We have to say congratulations to all the CJTC and Team ReserveAid members who participated and completed the race. You have achieved an awesome accomplishment and deserve to be recognized. Congrats!
Another point of recognition which also deserves recognition is our very own Gal Harel. Gal raced this weekend in Pantenella’s Co-Ed Revolutionary Triathlon and happened to place 2nd Overall. What an accomplishment and it is great to see we have talent such as his in our club.
Congratulations to all!
