Don’t forget this Sunday Sept 16th starting at 8am is Patanella’s Buckman Sprint Triathlon. We know race director Joe Patanella puts on really fun events and this one should be no different. Additionally, the forecast for Sunday is looking fantastic. A nice cool high of 72 °F.
And remember CJTC will have our tent setup with burgers and hotdogs for during and after the race with plenty of cold beverages. Enjoy a great morning outside with your fellow CJTC members. We will be setting up the club tent on the southern side of the parking lot (your right side as you face the beach from the parking lot). See you at the race!
Well CJTC Fans, Today turned out to be a fantastic day for a triathlon after all the doom and gloom from the past could of days. The day started out cool and cloudy but quickly turned into the ideal racing conditions with a water temp of 78ºF for today’s race. There was an amazing turnout of CJTC members, their families and those just showing up to give support to the club. We saw some incredible efforts from all the members which included some first time triathletes, the overcoming a flat tire right in transition at the start of the bike segment and the amazing spirit which CJTC was showing compared to other clubs.
As for the Club Competition, starting the day we were in first place based solely on points for club members signed up for the race. Right now CJTC is in Second Place, as there were a few very high finishes from another club. However all hope isn’t lost as we expect another amazing day of racing tomorrow with even more great finishes from CJTC.
Let’s get all fired up about the Olympic distance tomorrow and take home the remaining points.
Good luck racers!! See you at the finishing line!
In less than twelve hours our CJTC sprint triathlon members will be blazing trails across Mercer County. If you are competing tomorrow the rest of CJTC will be cheering you on. Don’t forget to stop by the CJTC tent near the race finish line to cheer on your remaining club members and to celebrate your accomplishments, have something to eat and drink and to show your CJTC spirit!!
Let’s rock it tomorrow!!!
Summer has officially rolled in with a series of hot scorching days of humidity and high temperatures. What better way to celebrate the arrival of summer than to do a Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquabike or just head to the beach for a great weekend on the coast.
Whatever you decide to do, please drink plenty of fluids, wear your sun protection and take plenty of breaks along the way (well, scratch the breaks if you are racing.. of course).
Here are some tips from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention to combat the heat on these hot summer days.
On the racing front, several races are taking place this weekend. Most notably the Philadelphia Insurance Sprint and Olympic Triathlons. If you get a chance head down that way and enjoy the great festive environment and sports expo taking place over the weekend. The Sprint takes place on Saturday and the Olympic on Sunday so head on down for a fun racing weekend.
Keep cool everyone!!
